Saab and BMW AG have agreed on a deal that allows the Swedish carmaker to use engines made by BMW, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Saab will initially purchase BMW engines for the 9-3 model that is scheduled for release in late 2012, said the person, who asked not to be identified before a contract is signed. The carmakers plan to sign and announce the pact in Trollhattan, Sweden, on Wednesday, the person said.
Fiat are said to be bringing the 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari to Frankfurt
Update 12/9/09: Fiat has now confirmed that the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari is real and will be at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We’ve updated with details and a full gallery of pictures of the Tributo Ferrari, and the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari Press Release. And earlier this year we speculated – whilst looking at the Abarth 500 – that it would make a great courtesy car for Ferrari and other Supercar makers.

I know what GTI stands for - what's this SR badge doing? SR stands for ‘sporting and refined’, says Toyota, perfectly describing its new ‘warm’ hatch. The Japanese manufacturer might be able to turn out hybrids by the thousands, but their recent sporting pedigree is pretty poor.
